YouthServe is a youth leadership organization serving youth ages 13-18 in the Birmingham metro region and beyond. Our mission is to empower communities by offering leadership, service, and civic engagement opportunities to youth.
YouthServe’s goal is to create the space and opportunity for diverse youth to grow in leadership and citizenry, while giving them the tools to guide them in the process. We do this by hosting youth leadership councils, community service days, in-school service education, and more.
Since 1998, YouthServe has provided close to 150,000 service hours for more than 35,000 youth. Surveys show that these youth are more aware of their communities, more confident in themselves, and more empowered to lead than their peers who have not participated in YouthServe programs.
