A collaborative community art installation by YouthServe and Studio by the Tracks.
Since 2024, YouthServe has been wanting to make an art installation that is not only beautiful, but also invites the Birmingham community to share messages of hope for our city and the youth leaders who are working towards change. Now, that dream is becoming a reality, with the help of our friends at Studio by the Tracks—and the best part is, community members of all ages can contribute their own artwork to the project! Here's how you can get involved:
1. Decorate a butterfly usingone of our templates(or create your own!) & make sure to include a message of hope for your community—see the photos below for a few examples.
2. Bring your decorated butterfly to YouthServe’s office (2717 7th Ave S, #105, Birmingham, AL 35233) or email a photo/scan of it to [email protected] by August 15.
3. Your design will be included in an art installation at YouthServe’s office in late August, bringing beauty and messages of hope to our corner of downtown Birmingham!
